Bing (丙) — Yang Fire

Bing is yang fire, classically called "the sun" (太陽之火). Its light reaches across mountains; nothing in its path stays hidden. Bing Day Masters tend toward openness, generosity, public speech, and a need for visibility — they radiate but cannot pretend. Bing dislikes being smothered by clouds (excessive earth) or quenched by storm water (壬 in flood).

Bing pairs with 辛 in the classical combination 丙辛合化水, where blazing sun meets refined yin metal and produces water — symbolizing inspiration cooled into discipline. Bing strong with timely water makes a noble chart; Bing without root in summer over-burns and brings nervous exhaustion.
