Piancai (偏財) — Side Wealth
Also known as: Windfall Wealth
Element conquered by Day Master, same polarity; represents windfall money, side businesses, and "money that flows in like a tide."
Piancai is the element controlled (剋) by the Day Master with the same polarity — e.g. a 甲 (yang wood) day master "controls" 戊 (yang earth) as Piancai. It represents money that comes from outside the regular salary stream: investments, deals, side businesses, or unexpected gains.
Healthy Piancai gives generous handling of money, ability to spot opportunities, and connections that bring deals. Excessive Piancai may signal scattered finance or romantic entanglements (Piancai often relates to "lovers" alongside spouse). In male charts Piancai also represents the father.
