Xun (巽 ☴) — The Gentle

Bottom yin under two yang lines; the trigram of wind, penetration, gradual influence, and the eldest daughter.
Xun (☴) is one yin at the bottom under two yang lines. Per the Shuogua: wind, the eldest daughter, the thigh, the chicken — qualities of penetrating gradually, gentle persistence, and humility that yet shapes everything in its path.
In divination Xun suggests soft persuasion over force, working with circumstances rather than against, and the slow but inexorable change of long-term strategy. It pairs with Zhen as the wood element trigrams.
