Oracle Lots Library

At Chinese temples, people ask a question in their heart, shake a bamboo cup of numbered sticks until one falls out, and read the verse that matches the number. These are oracle lots, also known as fortune sticks or kau cim.

This library gives each of the 100 lots of the Guanyin Oracle its own page: the four-line verse in the original Chinese with an English translation, its fortune level and palace, the classical story it alludes to with an illustration, a plain-language AI reading of the verse and short notes on 13 topics.

The Qingzhen Temple Oracle is in the library too, but for now only in Chinese.

How to consult the oracle

  1. Settle your mind and hold one clear question: work, money, a relationship, a move or a decision you are weighing.
  2. Shake a lot online, or draw one at a temple, and note its number.
  3. Open that lot here. Read the verse and its story first, then the topic that matches your question.

Ask with a sincere heart: shake a lot online in the MyFate workbench and get your reading right away.
