Dui (☱) places one yin at the top above two yang lines, like a lake whose surface ripples open to the sky. Per the Shuogua: lake, the youngest daughter, the mouth, the sheep — qualities of joy, speech, and pleasing exchange.
In divination Dui signals harmony, conversation, mutual delight, and the relief that follows breakthrough. Its lesson: genuine joy nourishes — but be alert that pleasure does not become flattery or self-deception.
