Birth year-month-day, birth hour (within a two-hour traditional time slot is enough — minute precision is not required), gender, and birthplace. The hour matters most; if you don't know it, switch to 'Unknown Hour Mode' and the AI infers the chart from the other three pillars.

Three options: (1) Ask your mother, or check household register / birth certificate; (2) Use 'Unknown Hour Mode' — the AI builds the main framework from the year, month, and day pillars; (3) Use 'Life Event Reverse Inference' — tell the AI about major life events (marriage, job changes, relocations and their years) and the AI proposes the best-fitting hour candidates.

Either works. The input form has a toggle — most people find solar (Gregorian) easier (the date on official documents); the AI converts to lunar / stem-branch internally. If your family only remembers your lunar birthday, enter the lunar date directly.

Yes. Points charged but not consumed, or points lost to a failed AI call, are auto-refunded. If you're unhappy with a deep analysis, email support@myfate.ai within 7 days for a full refund (including consumed points). EU users additionally have a 14-day GDPR right of withdrawal.
